1 Corinthians 13:1-8

Old Testament Words:
  • אהב  ʾâhab – to have affection for – love, like, friend.
  • חֵסֵד chec̨ed,  – kindness; piety; beauty:—favor, good deed, kindly, (loving-) kindness, merciful (kindness), mercy, pity, reproach, wicked thing.

New Testament Words:

  • ἀγάπη, agapē – the quality of warm regard for and interest in another, esteem, affection, regard, love
  • φιλέω, philĕō – to have a special interest in someone or someth., freq. with focus on close association, have affection for, like, consider someone a friend

  1. Ground your gifts in love (1 Corinthians 13:1-3)
  2. Make love a verb (1 Corinthians 13:4-8)
