I’m Bevin and I'm the Facilities’ Director here at Lifebridge.
This means I spend a lot of time changing filters, planning work days, and trying new tricks to get weird smells out of the basement so church can run smoothly every week.
I am largely unseen in my role at church, except for those special Sundays when I get the call to come up from the minors to the big leagues to play the bass on the worship team (because ALL of the first stringers are sick or gone that week)
I’m a veteran of the US Coast Guard, where I was trained to be an electrician, and currently an 18 year veteran of marriage to my Amazing wife Anna, where I've learned all of the other stuff.
I’ve been participating pretty seriously in this love story called the Bible since 2003 when I gave my life to Jesus while I was in a war zone during Operation Iraqi Freedom (which probably wasn’t as nice as you’re picturing it was)
I’ve been attending Lifebridge since the day it started, because God really listens to prayers (especially ones about where our family should attend church) and we magically/nervously happened to move back the first weekend Lifebridge met at the movie theater!
I’ve got four rad kids that are crazy smart, amazing homeschool students, and better than me at everything, and they help me do my favorite job every day- be a dad. (The facilities thing is top 10 for sure though…)
And that’s it. I’m a regular dude that loves Jesus and my family, loves troubleshooting facility problems and helping people out, and, of course, LOVES finding food at church
